Mana lies on the Himalyas in the border between India and China. The Vyasa Cave, Origin of Saraswati River are spots of interest.
Once the Sage Vyasa was meditating in a cave here. Disturbed by the noise of the river, he requested the Lordess of Knowledge to reduce the noise in vain. This made him angry and cursed that She became invisible. After a fervent appeal by the other Gods, he modified the curse and allowed Her to be visible only here in Mana!
